What is the Hot/Cold Shower?

by Wilderness
(Cape Cod)

Hi Jo and Cindy,

I started your Guided Fall Cleanse today and have a question. What do you mean by hot/cold shower?

Thanks. It feels good to have started.

Wilderness

Answer: The hot/cold shower treatment that we recommend is a simple way to stimulate your lymphatic and immune systems using temperature changes. This is a quick and simple way to simulate sauna rounds for days that you don’t have time or access to a full sauna experience.

Take a hot shower, as hot as you can tolerate, for 5 minutes. Then turn the water to the coldest temperature that you can tolerate for up to one minute. Alternate several times. It is also effective to simply end your hot shower with a 30 to 60 second blast of cold water. Make sure to expose your armpit and groin areas to the cold blast to best stimulate a detoxifying reaction.
