What is your opinion on Tofu during a detox?

Answer: Tofu is known as a high protein health food that many vegetarians and vegans use to replace meat and dairy in their diet. It's made from soymilk through a relatively simple process.

Whether you should use tofu during your detox diet depends on you. It is a fairly simple food that provides plenty of calcium and protein. It could be a valuable addition to your diet if you are transitioning away from highly processed foods and animal products.

However, if you are already eating a vegetarian diet with very few chemically processed foods, tofu may be a good thing to leave out of your detox diet plan. As a processed food it is lacking the full nutritional integrity that whole foods provide. In our recipes and menu plans we aspire to use genuine whole foods as much as possible.
