Sugar Free Fudge Recipe

sugar free fudgeThis is a truly decadent treat. With our delicious sugar free fudge recipe, how could you feel deprived? You can use this satisfying treat to replace processed sweets, refined sugar, fake foods and even coffee. Depending on where you are at on the detox ladder and what type of detox you’ve designed for yourself, this treat could be a great bridge to a cleaner diet.

If you haven’t yet learned about the many health benefits of using raw cacao in the place of refined and sugar-sweetened chocolate, you are in for a treat. Our fudge recipe is only one of the many ways to use chocolate as part of your detox lifestyle. As you become cleaner you will be more sensitive to the natural stimulating properties in cacao and you will need less and less of it to feel satisfied.

This fudge is packed with the original flavanoids and antioxidants of natural raw cacao. If you don’t find cacao powder or nibs at your local health food store, here is a great place to order cacao and other superfoods online - Live Superfoods. We have checked out many raw suppliers and the prices and availability are by far best at Live Superfoods.

WARNING: Raw cacao can be very stimulating. When eaten late in the day it may interfere with your ability to sleep.

Ingredients:

1 cup raw organic cacao powder (or nibs, ground in a coffee mill)
1/2 cup organic virgin unrefined coconut oil
1/2 cup maple syrup
¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl and mix thoroughly until smooth.
  2. Roll into 8 balls or press into a baking pan and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  3. Or spoon into cups and eat at room temperature for a rich mousse.

Makes 8 fudge balls, squares or ¼ cup mousse servings

  • Blend in these optional additions for enhanced nutrition and taste variety: soaked almonds – processed in food processor, maca powder, coconut milk, dates (grind with almonds or nibs in food processor).
