Chewy Carob Sugar Free Brownies
Sugar free brownies made with carob and date sugar are a whole foods version of the classic treat. Their mellow sweetness and rich warmth can help stave off sugar cravings during your detox. For an extra special treat, enjoy them along side a serving of one of our delicious sugar free ice cream recipes.
Carob is often used as a chocolate substitute. But if you are a chocolate fan you’ll be quick to notice that it has quite a different flavor than chocolate. Carob is naturally sweet and delicious in its own right. High in calcium and other minerals, it supports an alkaline condition in your body and healthy digestion.
In addition to the natural sweetness of carob, these sugar free brownies are sweetened with date sugar and brown rice syrup. Natural sweeteners are more mild than sugar. Using them to sweeten your desserts will help you adjust your desire for sweets to a more moderate level and overcome sugar cravings.
