Roasted Root Vegetables

root vegetables

These roasted root vegetables make a grounding and deeply nourishing meal that will help you feel satisfied and full during your detox. Roasted vegetables are the ultimate healthy comfort food. This meal will also minimize sweet cravings. It was a mildly sweet nature and the complex carbs stabilize blood sugar. Root vegetables are very warming. They are great for grounding your energy and filling you up. Perfect for the wintertime... or any time you need a little extra comfort.

The ingredients in this recipe are also highly cleansing. Onions, garlic and leeks will help clear your arteries and cleanse your body of heavy metals and parasites. The daikon radish, turnips and parsnips will clear your body of excess mucous and fat. Beets, carrots, yams and winter squash all contribute essential antioxidants and vitamins to this deeply nourishing dish.

Have fun experimenting with different vegetable and spice combinations to make it just the way you like it!

  • If you’re using beets and you don't want them to dye everything red keep them off to the side in the pan instead of mixing them in with everything else.
