How much Superfood should I add to my smoothie?

When adding superfoods to smoothies, what do you suggest in terms of amounts and how many superfoods at any one time?
Answer: This is really all about personal preference and individual need. If you are new to superfoods we recommend starting out with just a few. You don’t need to dive in all at once.
For smoothies the best ones are the powders.
Cacao powder,
maca powder and mesquite powder are great for extra energy. When I haven’t gotten enough sleep and/or have a big daunting day ahead of me I’ll load up on these powders in my morning smoothie.
Hemp powder and
bee pollen are excellent smoothie additions for extra protein. They’ll help the nutrients in your smoothie stick with you for longer in the morning and they’ll help you think more clearly. These are great daily additions to your smoothie.
Vitamineral Green is another excellent powder to boost the overall nutrient value of your smoothie through the roof. A tablespoon of this exceptional powder is like a meal in itself and has incredible detoxifying properties.
But, again, we recommend choosing 2-3 of these to start with.
Reasonable amounts to get started with these particular superfoods are as follows:
Cacao powder: 1 teaspoon - 1 tablespoon
Depending on how chocolaty you want your smoothie and how much energy you can handle.
WARNING: Cacao powder is great to have in the morning but may disturb your sleep if used later in the day. Maca or Mesquite powder: ½ - 1 teaspoon
Hemp powder: 1 tablespoon
Bee Pollen: ¼ - ½ teaspoon
Bee pollen is very powerful and is best used in small quantities.
WARNING: Some people are allergic to the bee pollen itself. Before introducing regular portions, test your allergic reactions by eating just one pellet and paying attention to any symptoms that may arise in the following 2-4 hours.Vitamineral Green: 1 teaspoon- 1 tablespoon
We recommend starting with a teaspoon and work your way up to 1-2 tablespoons of this powder as you get used to it and clear out more of your toxins.
