Detox Tea for Cleansing or Symptoms?

Is the detox tea only for use to ease cleansing symptoms that may come up, or does it itself have detoxing properties?
Answer: That's a great question... There are many different herbs that are helpful during your detox and some are specifically cleansing and others do aid in easing specific detox symptoms.
Our
detox tea recipe primarily helps with actual detoxing. It provides organ support and aids your digestion and elimination so that you can more effectively expel toxins. This support helps you to move more toxins out and to avoid the common symptoms of toxic build up. Our recipe includes ginger, cinnamon and burdock to heat up your digestion. Nettles stimulate urination for more effective release of toxins as well as supports the liver and kidneys to detox. Milk thistle and dandelion support the liver as well. Your liver and kidneys have the job of neutralizing toxins, filtering them out, and sending them out for elimination through your bladder, colon, skin or lungs. The final ingredient, licorice, tastes good and supports your lungs in releasing waste.
Depending on your needs, symptoms and desired effects, you can switch out the herbs you use. Check out our
herbs page for a list of some of the most helpful cleansing herbs and their properties. You can use this list to mix and match in your own herbal tea recipe or use these herbs in your food for enhancing your detox and/or relieving detox symptoms.
