Delicious Chocolate Shake
Sometimes you just need a chocolate shake! But when cravings for something sweet, cold, creamy and chocolaty come up, there’s no reason to go off your detox. Instead nourish yourself in body and soul. This delicious shake is made with raw cacao, banana and nut milk.
When you have cravings for a shake or ice cream it often indicates a deeper craving for comfort, fun or sensory pleasure. Trying to meet that craving with sugary or artificial treats often falls short of satisfying and leads to all sorts of unhealthy food reactions.
Dairy, sugar, processed chocolate and artificial food additives are the main ingredients in a conventional milkshake. Each of these ingredients is linked to countless health conditions and allergic responses. Dairy alone has been shown to cause weight gain, digestive disorders, skin problems, heart disease and osteoporosis. Combined with sugar, processed chocolate and artificial ingredients it can turn an innocent treat into a recipe for disaster!
But never fear…our all natural, vegan and sugar free chocolate shake is delicious and creamy. It will satisfy your cravings without dragging you down and making you sick. A combination of frozen banana, coconut milk and almond milk make this shake rich and creamy. And unprocessed raw cacao give it a deliciously decadent chocolate flavor. If you'd like it sweeter, add 2-3 pitted dates or replace ice cubes with more banana.

Ingredients:
(use organic whenever possible)
- 2 frozen bananas (peeled before freezing)
- 3-4 ice cubes
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 to 1 cup almond milk or water
- 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
- ˝ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients, except almond milk, in a blender or Vita-Mix and blend until smooth, slowly adding almond milk to consistency desired.
- Adjust cacao to taste. For a sweeter shake, replace ice cubes with additional banana or add 2-3 pitted dates.
