Candida

Hi - I read that one of you had candidiasis. What do you suggest to get it in control? I think a detox to start off would be good but not sure what to eat or avoid. Thanks for your help.
Answer: Yes, I had systemic candida overgrowth for years. It is tough to get under control - it took a lot of patience, trial and error. The primary culprit is sugar in all of its forms (even fruit). And the candida makes you CRAVE sugar - it's the source of many strong sugar addictions. So cutting out all refined sugar is a very important step and you can do that with our detox plan.
For me, to finally get it under control, I did 3 months of an all raw, no fruit diet, following Gabriel Cousen's Phase 1 plan in his book
Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine. He has a lot of great information in there about candida, it's role and the cause for problems as well as the cure. You can order it through our Whole Body Detox Diet Store. I had prepared myself with a diet like our whole body detox diet first because his diet is pretty strict.
So it depends on your body and how extensive the Candida overgrowth has become. I also did colonics and used herbs to kill parasites and candida. But the diet is critical or else they just keep getting fed by the sugars and coming back. For three years now I have been released from my intense sugar cravings and I can eat fruit and natural sweeteners with no problems. If I get a little refined sugar it's ok too although I avoid it.
I hope this helps. Thanks and blessings!
